I read Ann Voskamps, One Thousand Gifts, before. A long time ago. But I forgot. Which happens when life takes over. We forget.
I don't want to forget any longer. I want to find thanks. To find joy. To move forward.
So I am rereading One Thousand Gifts. I'm going to count my blessings, my gifts. Found in the every day. Little things we miss constantly. Like:
1. Little boys, warm and sleepy, crawling out of bed to cuddle against me as I type.
2. Bigger boys singing loudly, theme songs from The Hobbit.
3. Crisp, white frosty mornings.
