Goodness

I'm reading a book about the Proverbs 31 woman. I've been trying, in as many ways as possible, to study this woman of God. I want to be her. I have a VERY long way to go. As I was reading this book called "Discovering the Treasure of a Godly Woman: Proverbs 31" I came across something the author said that really hit me hard. It's in the chapter on verse 12, "A Godly Woman is Good".

Remember that what you are at home is what you are!
Practice goodness under your own roof first. Be sure your loved ones receive the first fruits of your goodness...all day long...every day...all the days of your life!
(bold is my emphasis)

Oh my.
I fail so miserably at this :-(
I need to change my behaviour....

Yeah, I'm not so stellar at this either.

I will forever think about clothing your family in scarlett so as not to be afraid of the snow, when I think of Proverbs 31, though.

I always think of

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised."

This is the woman I so want to be but I too fail miserably, miserably short... May the Lord have mercy on us.

The book is called "Discovering the Treasures of a Godly Woman: Proverbs 31" by Elizabeth George.
I really am enjoying the book and am learning something everyday. It's a study/workbook style book.
