Yesterday was when we remember the Gospel story about the paralytic that Jesus heals.
The Kontakian (hymn) that we sang left a pretty good impression on me.
I just love the words.
By Your divine intercession, O Lord,
as You raised up the Paralytic of old,
so raise me up my soul, paralyzed by sins and thoughtless acts;
so that being saved I may sing to You:
Glory to Your power, O compassionate Christ!

Tuesday Stichera, Tone 8
One stanza of the stichera last night was particular moving to me. Set to tone 8 brings it much more beauty.
When the Ewe-lamb and Virgin beheld Thee, her Lamb,/
led to the slaughter,/
she followed after Thee with tears, and cried aloud:/
"Wither dost Thou hasten, O my Child?/
Let me go with Thee, O Jesus most sweet,//
for I cannot bear not to see Thee, O my Jesus!"
